You have heard it said... But I tell you... The great thing about being for the communitty is that it compels love to be more then an abstract intellectual position or emotion in regards of something, in other words i can love someone and do crap about it. But to be for someone requires a movement, it is directional and purposeful. Recently i was listening to this sweet sermon from Bells church and he talked about how the Samaritan was the only one with resources to help, so maybe the point is that we need to especially be for the community because we have so much, we can make that movement because we have access to tangable resources. I thought that was interesting, the simpsons clip continues to remind me of unconditional love, Homer doesn't just get changed by love he still acts like a jackass, but Ned must continue the movement of love even if it doesn't change Homer, i think we tend (by we i mean me) to love for a time and if it is not changing the person we remove our love and take it else where, we may love a homesexual at first but if they don't straighten out then were gone, in the name of Jesus. I believe the bible says "if God is For us who can be against us" not if he loves us but if he is FOR us. i wonder what that means
